Good Shepherd's Fold December 2006 Newsletter

Our kids were blessed with the oppor tunity to be part of a Word of Life Camp during their September Holiday break. 95 of our children attended the camp and it was not only a time where they had lots of fun but we also praise the Lord for the many re-dedi cations of our children and the spiritual growth that took place in their hearts.

Children came back giving great testimonies of what the Lord did during that week. We thank as well Karen, one of our short term volunteers who raised the money for this event, giving the chance to our kids to be part of such a great event.

We are sad to say goodbye to James and Marilyn Bumgarner. They have left recently to go back to the states for health reasons after being with us for 4 years. Marilyn has been the nurse at GSF while also leading women’s bible studies and tending to local villagers who come to the clinic. James is an evangelist and has led many children and villagers to the Lord. He also was the farm director and Sunday school teacher. They both will be missed and probably did their greatest work looking after the kids who left GSF as they aged out at 18 years old. As difficult as this work became, they persevered and helped many kids thru school. We wish them the very best. Please keep them in your prayers.

This is Lazarus, one of our young boys, with his new parents. His adoption was finalized and he has now joined his new family in the United States. We miss him but we wish him and his family the very best of God’s blessings! We praise the Lord for the children that have been able to be adopted. Join us in praying for them and for a smooth adjustment into a new culture as well as with their new families. Pray as well for the adoption process here in Uganda as it is getting more complicated and difficult.
